Once you have decided to visit Dalyan and Dalyan Garden Pension in 2010 we can help make your stay as enjoyable as possible. If we still need to persuade you to visit perhaps a little more information on what makes holidays in dalyan and our dalyan accommodation so special will help.

The natural beauty of the surrounding area is absolutely stunning, and our guests think our garden is pretty special too. For a small hotel we have a very large garden and pool.

I will be putting up some new images to show you the wonderful natural surrounding. We have been out on the river at sunrise and sunset and it it is stunning. Enough to make our guests want to cry!  If you look at a map of the surrounding area you will see what a unique position Dalyan is in, with its river setting and beach to the south and lake to the north.

For lovers of nature, and lovers of wildlife Dalyan will not disappoint and if youhave sunworhsippers and beach lovers in your party you can keep them happy too. I would suggest that if you want to walk and birdwatch spring or autumn would be better than the hot summer months to visit.  The lycian way is not far from Dalyan if you want to plan a few walks. Kaunos can help you there too with walking trips, cycling, or kayaking even.

Turkey is also famous for its wild flowers and again spring would be a great time to see the best of the plants in flower.

I wil look into some links to more information on bird and flowers in our area.

bye for now.

Its been a lovely season at Dalyan Garden Pension, and thank you all you lovely guests that made it so enjoyable.  Getting feedback is very important to us as we want all our visitors to enjoy their stays and get the most out of their well earned holidays.

Listening to guests I have found pretty much  all have found what they looking for  - usually they have said that the pension has surpassed expectations. They have also found other things that have been a real bonus.

What most guests have been looking for.

Somewhere easy to get to – it is – as you know only half an hour from the airport, and we arrange pick ups even at the most anti social of times.

Somewhere small and friendly – we are, we are a family business we like to be on first name terms with all our guests, we only have ten rooms and we have no intention of getting any bigger.  We like to please, we enjoy our guests company.

Somewhere where you don’t need to move from during the day if you don’t want to. You can have a long leisurely breakfast, served to you, then you can lie by the pool all day reading if you want – we can serve you a light lunch if you get peckish. Then after an afternoon snooze, wander over to the bar for a G&T or beer before dinner. You can wander into town taking a leisurly stroll, take a bike,  or we can call you a taxi. It couldn’t be easier

Somewhere where there are thing to do locally if you want to keep busy. We have a good relationship with kaunos tours and we can help with organising excursions and tours, or we can leave you alone if that is what you prefer. We send guests off to the Turkish baths after breakfast for a good scrub and massage, its a good thing to do when you first arrive – freshens you up before you start taking in the rays.

We have found guests often like to have a day by the pool followed by a day at the beach or an excursion, then another day by the pool etc.  So pool, boat trip, pool, beach, pool, Kaunos ruins, pool, rafting, pool, twelve island boat tour on gulet etc.

Families often take an excursions everyday and go further afield as far as Saklikent for instance.

We also have guests renting cars to do day trips to Pamukkale or as far as Ephesus.

All in all the feedbackI get is that Dalyan has it all.

Thats not to mention the stunning beauty of the natural environment – the lake the river and the beach, and the marvellous hospitality of the  Turkish people – These are the things guests do not expect and are absolutely delighted by.  but thats another story.

Hi everyone,
The new season has finally arrived and we are looking forward to welcoming our guests. We have a number of returning guests, it’s always lovley to see folk returning and many newcomers to whom we will extend a warm welcome. If you haven’t been before think about a last minute break here, the sun is shining, the pool is open, we have guests swimming already, the garden is starting to bloom. Dalyan attracts walkers and birdwatchers at this time of year as its not too hot to trek around. Its certainly warm enough to lie by the pool though on the warmer days. We have made some improvements as well at the pension, we have a new reception with WiFi, comfortable sofas and a woodburning fireplace for the cooler evenings at either end of the season . If you are thinking of visiting Dalyan early season March/April or later October/November we can offer warm comfortable indoor facilities for the evenings and early mornings.
We now have balconies overlooking the garden, seating space outside the upstairs rooms overlooking the pool, with the farmland and mountains in the distance, Its restful and has beautiful views. We have three very large family rooms/suites with sofa beds, two of these rooms have Juliette balconies also with stunning view.
We will not be expanding any further though as we want to remain a small friendly family hotel which feels like home from home. (although we will serve you chilled beers and BBQs to keep you quenched nourished).
If you are thinking of coming this summer think about booking soon, rooms are going and the airlines are saying flight prices are cheaper the earlier you book as they are reducing the schedules to prevent having to offload seats at the last minute.
Don’t forget we can offer transfers from Dalaman airport and help you book trips to the beach the lake, roman ruins or any of many excursions available nearby. There are loads of activiites around Dalyan if you can bear to leave the poolside.
Dalyan continues to expand and offer more to visitors. The new entrance to the town is looking very nice. The turtle statue is the first thing you see as you come into town and with the post office gone there is a view to the Mosque and the river side now. It is all very attractive.
Even though Dalyan is growing the stunning beauty of the area is there to see.

Do hope to see you soon, let me know if you have any questions about pension of the area, I’m only too pleased to help.

Hi, it seems not everyone is thinking about Christmas yet, some are thinking of Dalyan and Dalyan Garden Pension. We have bookings coming in for next year. I think booking a sunshine break now with the thought of the beach and the pool a reality, makes the winter easier to get through. Flights to Dalaman are available but it seems not as many as last year at the moment and not such good deals. However Easyjet from Gatwick to Dalaman and Thomas Cook from various airports to Dalaman do have some cheap deals. Its worth booking now if you find what you want – if you do it on your credit card you should be covered for unforeseen eventualities – well thats the advice on TV and on websites it seems (not mine!) Don’t let the credit crunch get you down, Turkey is very good value, cheap, lots of sunshine, beautiful clean sea and sand, almost deserted beaches (well the middle part) even in August. Very friendly people and hospitality and Dalyan is so easy to get to from the airport. Don’t forget early in the season, April and May are great for birdwatching and spring flowers and exploration in general and for those sun worshippers the temperature steadily rises from May onwards to a sweltering 40 centegrade plus by July/August. Enough to melt you, but you can cool off in the pool, and get ice cold drinks from the bar, anyway the rooms are airconditioned, if you need an afternoon nap. Everything to make a relaxing holiday.Turkey is exotic, but its not too far away, only four hours flight, it’s good value, and there are loads of things to do if lounging by the pool isn’t quite what you had in mind. Start planning a holiday with us next year and do get in touch if you need more information, or inspiration. You could have a lazy sunshine holiday, a walking holiday in conservation areas with bird watching. You could plan cultural trips to the Lycian tombs in the village or to Roman antiquities at Ephesus or Bergama if you like to travel further afield. You could make it an activity break with rafting or paragliding or snorkling or diving, or as some guests have managed – all of them. Whatever you fancy Turkey and the Dalaman area can provide. Come to us at Dalyan Garden Pension and we will provide the comfort and hospitality to enjoy your trip. Here’s to a warm and wonderful 2009.
